Digital Mental Health & Training

Understanding the brain is only half the point — the rest is doing something with it. If we know how regulation works, can we teach it, and can we reach people where they actually struggle?

This research area turns mechanism into method. We build emotion-regulation training shaped by how the brain really regulates, and pair it with digital and AI-supported tools — including serious games — that meet people in everyday life rather than only in the clinic.

We care most about the moments where help matters most: a teenager learning to ride out overwhelming feelings, or the everyday flare-ups of stress and frustration that, left unchecked, can harden into something clinical. The question underneath it all: how do we turn what we learn in the scanner into support people can genuinely use?
