We are pleased to announce a workshop with Nicola Ngombe from TU Dresden and Aston University (https://tu-dresden.de/mn/psychologie/ikpp/klipsy/die-professur/beschaeftigte/dr-nicola-ngombe). As a research associate in Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Neuroscience, Nicola Ngombe investigates how social dynamics impact emotions and cognition, using advanced methods such as fMRI and electrodermal activity measurements.

🔍 Insights into Social Interactions
The workshop begins with an introduction to key concepts in social interaction, with a particular focus on interpersonal emotion regulation in adults. Nicola will present a case study utilizing behavioral dynamic causal modelling and hyperscanning fMRI to investigate this regulation in pairs.
🧩 Interactive Experiments & Analysis
Participants will explore experimental designs for studying interaction dynamics and nested data structures. They will gain practical insights into dyadic data analysis, including models such as Actor-Partner Interdependence Models (APIMs) and inter-brain coherence analyses.
💡 Hands-On Group Work
In a collaborative group exercise, participants will develop their own research questions and approaches to social dynamics and analyze related methodological challenges.
🎉 Don’t Miss Out!
This workshop offers a unique opportunity to gain new perspectives on social dynamics in psychology and develop valuable skills for your research. We look forward to an inspiring event!
