🎉 Exciting News from Our Research Group! 🎉

We are thrilled to announce that two of our researchers, Mirna Hajric and Gaia Lapomarda, have received prestigious funding awards to support their pioneering projects!

Gaia has received the TNF (Tiroler Nachwuchsforscher*innenförderung) for the project "InterStressER." Her research investigates the complex interplay between stress, emotion regulation, and bodily awareness (interoception) to understand how these factors influence resilience in everyday life. By examining what makes individuals more or less vulnerable to the negative impacts of stress, her work aims to pave the way for targeted interventions that promote well-being.

Mirna also aims to contribute to emotional health with her project "Emotion Regulation in Focus: Unraveling the Dynamics of Choice and Social Support." Supported by Early Stage Funding from the University of Innsbruck, her research explores the neural processes behind interpersonal emotion regulation, specifically focusing on when and how we rely on social support to manage emotions. This work seeks to reveal the role of social support during stressful moments, offering valuable insights into how interpersonal dynamics aid emotional balance.

Congratulations to Mirna and Gaia! We eagerly await the impactful findings these exciting projects will bring to science and everyday life! 👏
