We are delighted to officially welcome five new doctoral researchers to the Affective Neuro Lab at the Universität Innsbruck. Anna Gmeiner, Laura Gervais, Jonathan Weber, David Lang, and Aaron Tolone have all been members of our lab since their Master’s studies, and it is a special pleasure to see them now embark on the next stage of their academic journey with us. Their research spans environmental neuroscience, affective control, self-transcendent emotions, higher cognitive processes, and serious games for mental health—reflecting the intellectual breadth and innovative spirit of our group.

With their decision to pursue their PhDs in Innsbruck, they are contributing to a growing and vibrant neuroscience community here. We are proud to support them as they begin their academic careers and look forward to the ideas, collaborations, and discoveries that will shape the future of neuroscience in Innsbruck.
